The World history students take project based learning to the community for Halloween. The students research the origins of Halloween along with their choice of a spooky Halloween element. Students create engaging introductions, stated thesis statements, and well structured body paragraphs. After creating the research paper, students developed Halloween children's stories based on well-known tales. On Halloween, the Junior Class went to Woodland Elementary for the morning to read their Halloween stories and entertain the students with Halloween activities.

The US History students really knocked it out of the park with our project-based learning and the Populist Era. Students worked in groups and used their historical knowledge to make connections to The Wizard of Oz. The end results were amazing! Check out some of the best projects below

This PBL project is research skills with a twist! Recently in US History we talked about imperialism and how the US Navy was a way for America to flex its muscles to the rest of the world. The Great White Fleet placed America as the third greatest Navy of the world. The students focused on the Navy of the past as well as our present Navy in America. We were able to look at each others posters and write a reflective essay on how the Navy impacted imperialism, and how the Navy has changed or stayed the same in America. We all learned about the Navy new and old from each other and in a visual way. Check out the posters they created below.
